KI and Joyce Motorcycle Gang Motorcycle Gang The 2000 GMWP house was dedicated on Sunday June 4, 2000. Grand Master K. I. Wright and his wife of 50 days Joyce (photo at right) led his "motorcycle gang" (photo above) to the home site. The Grand Officers posed for the photo at right on the front steps of the house.

Grand Chaplain By 4 P.M., over 100 Masons, their family members, Wilson County HFH homeowners (past and future) and other friends gathered Tom Hager on the back yard. 2000 GMWP director Brother Corky Hester welcomed everyone and then introduced Grand Chaplain R. W. Brother Bobby Gene Sutton who led a most inspirational devotional service and prayer. Brother Sutton is shown in the photo at left--Grand Master K. I. Wright at far left looks on.

Brother Hester then introduced Vision 2013/HFH Task Force Chairman Tom Boduch Brother Tom Boduch (photo below left) who reported on how the VISION 2013-HFH partnership began and what it has accomplished since 1996. He metioned that the groundbreaking for the first GMWP house (1998) was held on June 4, 1998--exactly 2 years ago. He also recognized M. W. Brother Tom Hager (photo at right). Brother Hager, who served as Grand Master in 1994 and is currently serving as Grand Treasurer, instituted the VISION 2013 program. Brother Boduch also announced the locations of the 2001, 2002 and 2003 Grand Master's Work Projects. He also stated that brethren in District 20 (Knox, Union and Sevier Counties) will soon begin constructing a house in partnership with Sevier County HFH.

:"KI Brother Hester then introduced Wilson County HFH president Reggie Mudd who praised our Masonic family for our hard work and dedication. He then presented Brother Corky with a gift of a work hat and shirt, and presented Grand Master K. I. Wright (photo at left) with a plaque with an attached hammer.

Brother Corky then recognized the many volunteers and donors who built the house and gave a summary of how the work was accomplished over the past few months.

Brother Corky then introduced Lebanon Mayor (and member of Lebanon Lodge #98) Brother Don Fox (photo at left) who said he was proud of what Wilson HFH and Freemasons were doing for the City of Lebanon. He said he was proud to be its mayor and proud to be a Mason.

KI and Bo Grand Officers with KI Brother Corky then turned the program over to Grand Master K.I. and even provided a real YELLOW DOG (photo at left) named "Bo" to help him. The Grand Master invited his Grand Officers (photo at right) to join him on the back porch.

One major fundraising effort for the 2000 GMWP was the PENNIES FROM HEAVEN Carl/Pennies program (initiated by Brother Hester). Junior Grand Deacon Brother Carl Howard, (photo at right) presented a check for $250.00 in PENNIES collections from Lebanon Lodge #98. Joyce Miller, Tennessee's First Lady of Masonry, then presented PENNIES collections from jars placed in her daughter's Beauty Shop. Joyce had also presented PENNIES collections at the 2000 GMWP Groundbreaking Joyce/Pennies and at the District 11 Meeting the preceeding Friday. Joyce is shown in the photo at right KI/Bible presenting her collections to Brother Hester while Grand Master K. I. looks on.

The Grand Master then thanked everyone who made the 2000 GMWP possible, and said that projects such as these show that Masonry is alive and dynamic in out great Volunteer State. Holding up a Bible that he subsequently presented to homeowner Pam Sadler KI Keys and her family, he spoke on the significance of the Bible, saying that it is God's word which despite everything going on in the world, doesn't change. He then presented Pam with the keys to her new home (photo at right) and scissors to cut the ribbon in front of the door.

After cutting the ribbon, Pam then addressed the crowd and thanked everyone for their kindness and Prayer hard work. She said she was thrilled that she could provide a good home for her children. Pam's pastor, the Rev. Belita Fyte (Heaven's View Baptist Church), shown in the photo at left, then led an inspirational closing prayer, including a Litany of Blessing.

Refreshments were served by the Harvey Freeman and Rose Croix Eastern Star Chapters.
