Finished House The 2001 GMWP Jefferson County HFH was dedicted on Sunday October 21, 2001--the finished house is shown in the photo at right.

A large crowd consisting of Masons, Jefferson HFH board and committee members and volunteers joined Lynn Bullins and her son Brandon at the building site. Dedication Group Shown in the photo at left are from left to right are: TOP ROW--GMWP Director Brother Tom Boduch, Brother David Williamson. BOTTOW ROW--Brazelton Lodge #190 Worshipful Master Mike Douglas, Lynn and Brandon and Brother Melvin Giles.

Jefferson HFH president Paul Brewer welcomed everyone to the dedication and praised all the volunteers who built the house. Jefferson HFH volunteer Roger DeWolfe then lead everyone in a Litany of Thanksgiving.

Past Jefferson HFH president Frank Williams then read a Scripture reading from the book of James.

Bible Presentation Representing Grand Master Esco Owens (who was attending the Grand Lodge of Georgia's annual communication), Brother Tom Boduch recognized the Masons who had helped build the house, and conveyed Grand Master Owens' appreciation to all who assisted. Brothers David Williamson and Melvin Giles presented Lynn with a "pounding" donated by the Blount County Lodges. Brother Boduch also conveyed congratulation from Kerbela Shrine Temple Potentate Illustrious Sir Harry Robinson (who was not able to be there, due to the Temple's annual Circus which was being held in Knoxville that day. Brother Boduch then presented Lynn with a Bible (see photo at right).

Lynn tearfully expressed her appreciation to all who helped make her dream of owning a home a reality. Jefferson HFH building supervisor Harold Coddington then lead everyone in a Litany of Dedication. Afterward, Past President Mary Smirl lead the group in singing "Blest Be the Tie that Binds." Paul Brewer then closed the dedication with a prayer of dedication, and a group recitation of the Lord's Prayer.
