2005 GMWP Pin

ABOUT THE 2005 GMWP LOGO
The 2005 GMWP logo features an outline of Blue Suade Shoes centered over Jackson, Tennessee. Jackson is the home of Carl Perkins, who wrote the song BLUE SUADE SHOES. Jackson was also the home of Suade's Restaurant and the Carl Perkins Museum (the Restaurant was destroyed by a Tornado in May 2003). The shoe graphic is used with permission of Suade's and the Carl Perkins Museum. Grand Master, M. W. and Rev. Brother Paul Phillips is a retired United Methodist Minister; hence this logo also features the United Methodist Cross and Flame.

The 2005 Grand Master's Work Project house was built in partnership with Jackson Area Habitat for Humanity. Construction was begun in April 2005--the house was completed and dedicated on August 27, 2005.

Brother Walter Brantley (PM 332) was the building coordinator for this project. Assisting him was St. John's Lodge 332's Secretary and Jackson HFH Board Member Brother Tommy Buntin.

For additional information, please contact Grand Master, M. W. Brother Paul Phillps at 731 660 0178, Brother Bill Whisel at 731-668-9290, or GMWP Director Brother Tom Boduch.
