TENNESSEE MASONIC BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
DECEMBER 27, 2013

revised 2/08/07

The M. W. Grand Lodge of Tennessee F&AM was chartered by the M. W. Grand Lodge of North Carolina AF&AM on December 27, 1813. This is the first time in recorded Masonic history that one Grand Lodge chartered another.

To mark this event, a bicentennial celebration is in the planning stages. It will be held in Knoxville on St. John's Day, Friday December 27, 2013.

On December 27, 1913, a similar centennial celebration was held. The first 50 pages of the 1914 Grand Lodge Proceedings contain a record of this event.
