In 1996, as part of its VISION 2013 Masonic Renewal Movement, Tennessee's Freemasons began to develop a partnership with Tennessee's HABITAT FOR HUMANITY affiliates. In 1998, a program of sponsoring and building at least one HFH house in partnership with an affiliate located in the current Grand Master's home region was begun--this program was named THE GRAND MASTER'S WORK PROJECT. 14 houses were built between 1998 and 2006.
